Contradictions are like cherries atop my sweet life :D

I had such a lousy weekend :(

  • A friend did something that I didn’t like (*I hope she didn’t mean it).
  • A friend just doesn’t LISTEN. It can get tiring (*I hope she gets to her senses soon).
  • Someone made me wait for 3 hours, made me drive to and fro, got me lost somewhere, emptied my phone credits just to contact her, made me wait some more, and then not say sorry and/or thank you (*I hope she starts caring for other people soon).
  • I left my car keys inside the car!!!
    • made me late for an important get-together with a special group of friends (*They understood I’m sure).
    • almost made me not be able to pick-up my precious gifts (But I did! My friend called them and they happily waited for 20 mins more. What a relief! Even for that I already feel so blessed).
    • made me go back home from Katipunan to fetch my spare keys and then back again (at least the cab is well-ventilated, non-drowsying, and I get to say the Rosary).
    • made me deal with a cab driver who chose to find a gas station that is out of the way; who decided that exact time that he’d get his tank full (which of course takes time); and finally, he asked if he could stop for a while and bet on the lotto (ang hirap ng hanapan ng bright side, pero sana man lang manalo sya at gamitin sa magandang paraan).

But…it’s all good! Haaay…what are a few disappointments and contradictions to a lovely week? Plus I came “home” to the loving arms of my Superfriends. We just laughed all my misfortunes off. As simple as that. :)

Sayang naman ang dalang ligaya ng panahon kung magpapatalo lang ako sa mga ganitong pangyayari. Of course, I got mad, irritated, impatient, etc. But the best thing is to go above all these and choose to not be affected.  I ought to remember this lesson all the time—that I shouldn’t lose my peace and joy based on the people around me, my environment, and the seemingly unlucky events taking fold right in front of my eyes. For all of these are fleeting things–here today, gone tomorrow.  At best these should just teach me to get to know myself better. And to act responsibly, with charity. My peace should rest on more permanent, stable things. Like Mary. Like Joseph. Like Jesus. The bidas of this happy season.

Anyway, I realized that today is already the last season of Advent, and this coming Friday is already Christmas! Wee! I’m so excited to see everyone in Pangasinan. Especially Nanay, my lola :)

As always, I had so much fun with my friends even though everyday partying isn’t a joke. I heaaaaart you!!! Tsup. (cheesy! Haha).

Sort-of Christmas and send-off dinner with my 130 students. They gave me a cake. Mukha ba akong mahilig sa cake? Hahaha! Oh and it was also JC’s birthday :)

Ohno, I hope I’m not any of them! Been kind of lost pa naman these days… Anyway, tomorrow, since I don’t wanna commute that far, I’m gonna go with Papa probably in the morning, so I can’t stay in the Munoz area that long (dunno where to stay there eh). Will either be in the SM North area/West Av or dorm. I am so redundant pero go na rin, sowee… I hope we get to go there finally. See you! Hugs!

Haha Joy! You are not. Nakakatawa ka. See yah! :-*
